Northeastern Regional Climate Hub Hosts Partnership Workshop

The Northeast Regional Climate Hub hosted partners from academia, federal and state agencies, and NGOs in Annapolis, MD on October 26-27, 2015 with the goal of working more closely together to achieve common goals by combining efforts and keeping the lines of communication open. Local farmers (pictured above) were also in attendance to discuss the impact climate change has had on their daily lives and how they make decisions regarding weather and climate. The two day event focused on bringing together outreach and research efforts to translate the work of the Land Grant Universities to actionable practices on our working lands. Many new relationships were forged and it is expected the results of this effort will be seen in increased productivity by the Hub and its extensive partnerships. In particular, the CLN will be working with researchers in the region to analyze data from several surveys in the region to help identify the needs of the Extension community regarding climate information.
