eXtension is looking for a few good people to work on climate change issues using new and innovative tools.

FluidRevieweXtension and the CLN are looking for energetic, motivated individuals working in climate issues to join the new i-Three Issue Corps. Members of the corps will get an opportunity to develop a project with measurable impact focused on YOUR needs using the tools of the new eXtension. Laura worked with many farmers throughout her career and while researching her book. She has taken away practical practices that can enhance agricultural production in a changing climate. Join us for the SERCH Greenhouse Gas Mitigation Workshop

This Southeast workshop will focus on adaptive strategies that make working lands more resilient to an increasingly variable climate, while at the same time mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. State and Federal programs that support these efforts will be highlighted, along with tools for improving resilience and communication methods.

Dr. Brenda Ortiz (Associate Professor and Extension Specialist in the Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences Department at Auburn University) will present Climate and Weather Data for the Farmer’s Site Specific Toolkit.


Dr. Mark Risse (Director of Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant and Georgia Power Professor of Water Policy at the University of Georgia) will cover Adaption and Mitigation Opportunities for Livestock and Poultry producers.


Dr. Clyde Fraisse (Associate Professor at the Agricultural & Biological Engineering Department, University of Florida) will discuss AgroClimate: Tools and information for a climate resilient agriculture in the Southeast USA.
